Waging War Against the Enemy

For although we walk in the flesh, we don’t wage war in fleshly way, since the weapons of our warfare are not fleshly but are powerful through God for the demolition of strongholds.

1 Corinthians 10:3-4

I feel like we can see and feel the spiritual war going on around us more than ever. Can you see it too?

It’s always been there and even in my life I feel it.  Spiritual dryness has crept in since March and I have struggled to keep doing what God wants of me.  I have questioned why are bad things happening around us and found looking for the goodness of God amongst all the bad we can easily see helps my attitude and helps me to lift my eyes upward instead of down and inward.

Strongholds of sin and spiritual dryness can be demolished by picking up the armor of God. (See Ephesians 6)  It is this discipline of going to God even when we don’t feel like it and waging war against the enemy who wants to keep us away from seeing the good.  God will reward you and you will see the faithfulness of God around you as we in His strength seek Him.

His Word is living and active and it will fill us up like fuel and soften our hearts toward Him and others. Praying will give us power and hope that only comes from Christ!

Pray:

Lord, arm me with your words today that I will hear them louder than the enemy.

Forgive me where I have been lazy in seeking you for help when I don’t feel like it.  It is in my weakness you are magnified. You are my strength and I have hope because of you Lord💜 amen

Finding Security

As I think about my security, I admit by nature I fall into feeling secure when my health is not in jeopardy, money is coming in to pay my bills, and all my children are doing okay.  I think a lot of us can relate to this. Right? ⁣
But when any of these things change which for most of us it has or it will at some point, my security seems lost.  It’s not.  I have seen God’s faithfulness in my own family and God always provided. Our human comfort levels are challenged but we grow closer to God through these times of trials.

The security Jesus Christ provides is wisdom, guidance in this life and an 𝘦𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘯𝘢𝘭 𝘭𝘪𝘧𝘦 in His 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘭𝘢𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘢𝘳𝘮𝘴.(Deuteronomy 33:27)  I know I love to sink right into those arms when my “feelings” have a hold of me.  God wants us to 𝘥𝘸𝘦𝘭𝘭 in Him not in our circumstances. ⁣
If you need to find that security again or if you like me have found yourself finding security in the wrong things at times. ⁣

Delighting in the Lord Instead of Self

Prayers through Psalms Series
Day 1

Definition of the word delight means to please or take pleasure in.

Delighting in God was far from my mind when thinking about when I was living in sin although there was delight. It was in self gratification and what made me feel good. It was in hearing words that tickled my ears or put a smile on my face. There was part of my life that was hidden. It wasnt hidden from God though.  I had let myself be given over to my temptations. I was living a life for self satisfaction. I use to seek love in the wrong places and long to be noticed. I sank to be bottom of the pit slowly and I needed rescuing.  In my soul I heard the Spirit leading me out and I finally  followed. It was painful and a sad time but nothing lost compares to the gain of confidence, forgiveness and love that I will never earn but receive in abundance from Jesus Christ.

All this to say, God made a way for me and He will do jt for you too. Find your delight in the Lord not in self, in love from others, money, or your kids.  Our heart will deceive you and people will disappoint you at some point BUT Jesus will never fail.

To delight in God is to meditate on His instruction.

but his delight is in the law[a] of the Lord, and on his law he meditates day and night. Psalm 1:2
When we are living in sin and turned away from God then we cannot take delight in Him. We are not hearing His instruction.  I was that person before I turned away from sin and toward God.  God wants His children back. He is waiting for you always.

Read: Psalm 18:16-19
16  He sent from on highhe took me;
he drew me out of many waters.
17  He rescued me from my strong enemy
and from those who hated me,
for they were too mighty for me.
18  They confronted me in the day of my calamity,
but the LORD was my support.
19  He brought me out into a broad place;
he rescued mebecause he  delighted in me.

PRAYER

Pray that God would weaken what is holding you or your loved one in sin. Pray that God would draw you or your loved one out of the many waters that billow over them. Praise God you delight in us even we are not delighting in you, Lord.

What I learned after accepting Christ

When I look back at my life, I can see that receiving Gods salvation was the easy decision when I was 13 years old. I can see now what I was missing in my life after I accepted Christ as my Savior was a understanding of surrendering to His Spirit inside me. I never understood this life was meant to be walked out in His Spirit not me walking without thought of Him helping me.  ⁣
I was taught growing up to be in control of my life. You can do whatever you want but work hard for it. So it was so hard for me to rely totally on Jesus.  I believed He had my eternity covered BUT the here and now I wasn’t completely surrendered. I didn’t believe it because my knowledge wasn’t in the Word of God.  It was in what the enemy knew I would cling to for a very long time, control. I would continue to believe in what I could control around me or if I worked harder everything would work out.  ⁣
It was such a turning point for me when I totally surrendered to God.  I broke down and felt the weakest I have ever felt.  This is a terrible feeling for someone who likes control.  In my prayers I heard God whispering come to me, “I have always been here.” “Give it all to me.”  ⁣
When I surrendered to Him and finally received His gifts to me. I listened to the Spirit, I couldn’t get enough of God, His Word and His transforming power. I saw the strongholds fall in my life and finally understood His grace.⁣

It’s been a daily surrender and I hope you will join me!

What I Get to Do!

Hand Knit & Hand Stamped Bracelets

I love creating custom knit bracelets for you guys.
I love beginning something new and selecting the colors. Just like every new beginning there is an excitement and possibilities of what you can do with it.  Our master creator, God, created us like that and gives us a “new beginning” doesn’t He? He knit us together to bear His image, to be His representatives. (Gen. 1:27)
God made us perfectly imperfect for His glory.

Nothing I create is for my fame but is to make Jesus famous!
I want to share the gift I have been given with y’all everyday I “get” to be creative🤗 🙌🏻

What has God given you that you “get to” do?

September Positivity Scripture Challenge Day 19

Today is Day 19 of the Positivity Scripture Challenge

“Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight, O Lord, my rock and my redeemer.”
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭19:14‬ ‭ESV‬‬

I love this verse! It is a prayer for me and you everyday.  I believe we want our words and actions to be acceptable to the Lord. Our hearts are actually where it all starts.  Our heart must be filled with God’s love and all the goodness of Him so that our life will overflow to others.

If you are in a place of doubt or sin, repent and pray this verse today.   Jesus is pursuing our hearts and wants devotion to Him.

Blessings friends!

September Positive Scripture Challenge Day 15

Today is Day 15  of the Positivity Scripture Challenge

“But you are A CHOSEN RACE, A royal PRIESTHOOD, A HOLY NATION, A PEOPLE FOR God’s OWN POSSESSION, so that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light;”
‭‭1 Peter‬ ‭2:9‬ ‭NASB‬‬

Today I am in awe of the things God has done in my life.  I once never thought I would be good enough to share anything about God because of my past.  My sins and the enemies lies had kept me in bondage. I believed the enemy over God.
It wasn’t until I started listening to God’s truth that I realized He loved me more than anything, He chose me and makes me holy as I walk with Him.

God calls me His!  He calls you His if you are a child of God.  Jesus sanctifies is daily and as we repent of sin, we can be assured of our salvation and it is forgotten.

Jesus Christ died for all of our sins and brings us out of the darkness of this world into His light.  That is good news!

Have a beautiful day friends!

September Positivity Scripture Challenge Day 14

Hello friends!

The month is almost gone but we are still plugging away at scripture and I hope you are learning and meditating on these verses this month.  I have enjoyed writing and digging into them with you all!

Positivity Scripture Challenge Day 14

“For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, “BUT THE RIGHTEOUS man SHALL LIVE BY FAITH.””
Romans1:17NASB

As a believer and follower of Jesus, we are made righteous through the blood of Jesus Christ.  There is not anything in me that is good.  Jesus Christ makes me good.

God is who we must learn about in order to know who we should be and how we can through faith grow.  I use to think since God saved me from sin, I didn’t have to worry about anything else.  I could just sit back and not really do anything else.  My faith would just be there.  My knowledge was still second hand from the Pastor.  My knowledge came from the world more than the Bible and as a result my faith was weak.
I since have learned my faith can not grow without more knowledge of God than anything else.  I can not expect to know how to walk in faith if my faith is still only what others tell me.

The Bible is for every one of us.  God expects us to learn and become His partner in growing our faith together. Today will you open the Word with me and pray that the Holy Spirit will fill us and help us to learn more about who God is?

Blessings-
Tracy

September Positivity Scripture Challenge Day 12

Hello friends!

Today is Day 12 of the Positivity Scripture Challenge

“Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day.”
‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭4:16‬ ‭NIV‬‬

This world fades alway as well as this body we have been given.  As much as we try to use the anti aging creams and etc, the fact is we can’t stay the same as we once were.

Unlike this body, God is unchanging and never fades away.  God promises to renew us. He gives us a mind like Him when we follow Him. He promises a new body when die.
No matter the discouragement we face today we can be assured God is our joy.
So don’t lose heart today friend! Jesus is giving us a new perspective.

Have a great day!

September Positivity Scripture Challenge Day 10

Happy Friday friends!

It is Day 10 of the Positivity Scripture Challenge

“Heal me, O LORD, and I will be healed; Save me and I will be saved, For You are my praise.”
‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭17:14‬ ‭NASB‬‬

Another verse that tells us we have so much to give praise to God for.  Praise is something we can do to show our love and honor to God but it also helps our attitude.  Just this week, I gave praise to God because I have seen His goodness shown through healing of a loved one and the healing of my brokenness. This may not be a physical healing for some But Jesus is still good. He provides exactly what we need.  Jesus brings us closer to Himself through the weakness and suffering we face.
What are you struggling with today?
Pause & Praise Jesus for the strength He provides!

My prayer is that we have an attitude of praise today.   Praise and Glory to the King of our lives!

Truths to remember about God-

•God is healer

•God is provider

•God is faithful

•God saves and sanctifies us

•God is holy

•God is constant, never changing

Blessings this weekend to you!
I would love to hear below in the comments your praise!

September Positivity Challenge Day 9

Good Morning friends!

How is the scripture challenge going? Are you able to write each verse out everyday?
There is something about doing the writing and saying the verse out load that helps so much to understand and retain the words.

It is day 9 of the Positivity Scripture Challenge

Today’s verse is

“Rash language cuts and maims, but there is healing in the words of the wise.”
Proverbs 12:18 MSG
‭‭

Wow! This verse is powerful for me because how many times have I used my speech to hurt someone.  You know the person that said something to you and hurt your feelings or maybe they said something about your child.  Yes we Moms can be very protective of our children.  The one thing I have learned is that speaking without thinking and pausing can be dangerous.  We say things that hurt others and never brings honor.

Lord, help me to pause before I speak. Let my speech be filled with love today.  Your Word can heal and I want to point others to You God for help and wisdom.

Thank you Jesus for giving us wisdom to pause and pray!  Amen

September Positivity Challenge Day 8

Today’s Positivity Scripture day 8

“For I will restore you to health And I will heal you of your wounds,’ declares the LORD, ‘Because they have called you an outcast, saying: “It is Zion; no one cares for her.” ’”
‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭30:17‬ ‭NASB‬‬

Have you left God behind?   I have before. There was a time I thought I can do life without Him.  I believed lies and thought my sin wouldn’t affect anyone else.
When we turn to God from sin, He is there!  He never left you.  He can forgive and heal the wounds of your own sins or the sins you have endured from others.

We only have to call on Jesus!

Pray today for healing in your heart if you have believed lies of the enemy.  Thank you Jesus for your amazing grace and loving us with an unending love!

Blessings friends-

September Positivity Challenge Day 6

Hello friends!

•Today’s day 6 of the Positivity Scripture Challenge

“He will wipe away every tear from their eyes. Death will be no more; grief, crying, and pain will be no more, because the previous things have passed away.”
Revelation‬ ‭21:4‬ ‭CSB

Isn’t this a refreshing picture of the days to come for a believer in Christ?  So many tears we have been shed and so much pain here on earth but all will pass away one day.
There is hope after this life! Jesus gives us that hope.

My prayer today is that if one person is curious about heaven or what happens we when this life is over, they will seek to know Jesus Christ! There is hope!  God wants all to know this.
Amen

Have a great day!
Blessings
