Finding Security

As I think about my security, I admit by nature I fall into feeling secure when my health is not in jeopardy, money is coming in to pay my bills, and all my children are doing okay.  I think a lot of us can relate to this. Right? ⁣
But when any of these things change which for most of us it has or it will at some point, my security seems lost.  It’s not.  I have seen God’s faithfulness in my own family and God always provided. Our human comfort levels are challenged but we grow closer to God through these times of trials.

The security Jesus Christ provides is wisdom, guidance in this life and an 𝘦𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘯𝘢𝘭 𝘭𝘪𝘧𝘦 in His 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘭𝘢𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘢𝘳𝘮𝘴.(Deuteronomy 33:27)  I know I love to sink right into those arms when my “feelings” have a hold of me.  God wants us to 𝘥𝘸𝘦𝘭𝘭 in Him not in our circumstances. ⁣
If you need to find that security again or if you like me have found yourself finding security in the wrong things at times. ⁣

Ready to Start a New Bible Study?

Hello friends!

I have missed discussing a book of the Bible with you. It has been awhile. So lets start this year by walking through the book of Psalms together. I have the Breathe study from Well Women Co and its a lovely study. It walks through Psalms and I thought this time of Lent leading us into Easter would be a perfect time to do this/
All 150 chapters of Psalms are praise and prayers to God and points us to Him.
I think most of us women can relate to the emotional side of Psalms too. As we read and pray through this book, let us write out our feelings and any thing we may be going through. I believe God has something good for each of us this month as we read together.

You may be wondering, how do I start?

Here are the details to join us on the Facebook page  and the start date is March 1st

This study will take place in a private facebook group HERE, Knit the Gospel into your Heart
(Please answer the questions when prompted because this will let me know you want to be added.)

If this is your first time to dig deep into studying a book of the Bible. Then let me share alittle how I like to study.  It is easy to feel stuck when reading scripture but when you have a few questions to ask and answer it leads to more questions right. Then before you know it you have learned so much more about the context.

Here is a Link the printable for some guidance into inductive bible study method that has helped me!

I am excited to start this study with you friend. I hope you are too!

See you in the group

September Positivity Challenge Day 6

Hello friends!

•Today’s day 6 of the Positivity Scripture Challenge

“He will wipe away every tear from their eyes. Death will be no more; grief, crying, and pain will be no more, because the previous things have passed away.”
Revelation‬ ‭21:4‬ ‭CSB

Isn’t this a refreshing picture of the days to come for a believer in Christ?  So many tears we have been shed and so much pain here on earth but all will pass away one day.
There is hope after this life! Jesus gives us that hope.

My prayer today is that if one person is curious about heaven or what happens we when this life is over, they will seek to know Jesus Christ! There is hope!  God wants all to know this.
Amen

Have a great day!
Blessings

Keep our eyes on Jesus!

I am praying for discernment.

I really want a burning bush encounter from God. .

Can’t Jesus just spell it out clearly for me? .

As much as I wish my doubts and fears wouldn’t bother me, they creep in and I start focusing on them instead of Jesus’s Words. “Have courage. It is I, don’t be afraid.” (Matthew 14:27-29)

When we focus on how strong the fears are instead of the strength of Jesus, we will sink.  Jesus wants us to keep our eyes focused on Him!  It’s always a beautiful picture of God’s strong arms reaching out for us when we do fall.  Jesus gives us wisdom to make choices. Will we stay comfortable or will we get uncomfortable to serve Him? .

WALK by FAITH not by sight!

God’s Love is Faithful

Jesus and Coffee Bracelet

Hello friends!

I have been married for 24 years and I wanted to share a little something I have learned during these years.

God is faithful even when we are not.

Sometimes we hear these words and I am not sure I ever really believed it until I lived it out in my life.  As a married woman who thought I knew everything and knew nothing of God’s faithfulness until my marriage was crumbling around me and I was deep in depression and sadness. Hiding it all on the inside until I could not anymore. God will bring us to a point and at that point we must decide. Follow His way or follow the worlds way.  In most marriages today I believe following the worlds way is the most popular.  When the road gets tough we bail out.  Now, I know the case may be for some that your spouse makes the wrong choice and leaves the marriage without involving you and you have no control over the decisions of your spouse.  I say this because marriage is commitment between two people and there is a gamete of situations we all face in marrraige but in my situation I focused on fixing me and my relationship with God. My husband was already focusing himself on his relationship with God so together we could find that foundation to stand our marriage on.
Jesus Christ is that firm foundation.

I called upon God in prayer.  God showed me His love through prayer and as I read His Word.  I felt the power of God working in my marriage and working on me and my husband.  There is no other love that is as faithful as God’s steadfast love.  Believe that.  Any problems I had with my husband God brought to light.  It was a problem with my perspective on my husband not what my husband did or didn't do.  I learned to seek after God more and more than a fleeting feeling from my husband.  I soon learned my faithfulness to Jesus grew a deeper faithfulness in relationship with my husband.

Through Jesus we can experience this faithful love and share it with our spouses and others around us 💗  I would love to hear what qualities of God you have been able to share in marriage over the years.

Bless you friends! .

September Positivity Challenge Day 3

Hello friends!

We are going through positivity scripture this month. I hope you are joining us writing and meditating on God’s Word.  We don’t have make it complicated just write out the verse or copy the picture and use as a phone wallpaper.  How much do we stare at the phone this would be a great way to keep scripture close.
I am not sure what season you are in but this months scripture is helping me focus on God instead what I am not getting accomplished.

Let me know what season you are in as a Mom or Wife.  Do you enjoy writing scripture and meditating on it through the day?

Today’s positivity verse is:

John 14:21 NASB

“He who has My commandments and keeps them is the one who loves Me; and he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and will disclose Myself to him.”

This verse just by reading it can seem like we must keep all the commands of Christ for us to receive His love. Well, that is true but it also means we will try and fail. We are human and sinful.  God loves us no matter how we have failed but wants us to repent!
Seek Jesus and His love and His Spirit will fill us up.

It is a daily devotion to Jesus that He seeks🌿

Blessings -
