September Positivity Challenge

Hello friends!

It’s September and I was inspired to join in with  Ashley over at A Pile of Ashes for a positivity scripture challenge.

Do you like challenges or writing scripture?  It’s a fun way to get into the Word and memorize scripture.

This month let’s focus on positivity! The download of the complete September Scripture Challenge is on Ashley’s blog

So much can be negative in our lives but we can focus on God’s Word to change our mind set. Right?

Today’s verse is Proverbs 31:26 NASB

“She opens her mouth in wisdom, And the teaching of kindness is on her tongue.”

Is my speech in kindness today?

 Am I seeking God’s wisdom?

I hope you will be inspired to join me and writing out these verses and getting into God’s Word!

*Share this post and tag your friends and let’s memorize these scriptures this month!

Summer Flowers are making me happy

Hello friends!

There is something about surrounding yourself with pretty flowers and pretty yarn ๐Ÿงถ. I have been knitting like a mad woman lately. Maybe my mind needed the rest. Knitting does that for me. It’s the rhythm of the needles and yarn that puts my mind at ease.  Whatever the days bring I can always pick up the needles and yarn and find a calmness to everything. .

Something I have pondered all day after hearing @lysaterkeurst on the @goandtellgals podcast. “I want to invite God into my life and not explain Him away.” Life is hard. My life has had its share of hard stuff and there are still valleys to walk through. But God gives us what we need for the moment.

Bless you guys ๐Ÿ˜˜

Tell me in the comments some of your favorite podcasts too! I would love to check them out with you.

Jesus Follower is the only title I want!

Hey there friends!

There is a lot of weight given to the number of followers you have in the world of influence online and I have to stop myself and remember these things often.

*Remember that follower of Jesus Christ is the only title I need in this world. .

*Remember who God is in my life .

*Remember His Word and power is where I can be strengthened to teach and share the gospel with others. It is Not the number of followers or the title someone has. It’s my spiritual growth and relationship with Jesus that matters. .

Who else needed to hear this?

I sure did because these past few weeks I have felt the pull of striving and I don’t want to strive for anything other than Jesus follower! Jesus is my future and hope!

I would love for you guys to tag your bible study thoughts and notes on social with this tag

Also the free bible study group on FB is starting a new Summer study of the women of the Bible

The Bible reads us back like a mirror

We can read the Bible and the Bible reads us back like a mirror seeing into my heart. I am asking myself am I seeking the right thing when I come to the Word of God?

“For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man who looks intently at his natural face in a mirror.” James 1:23

My desire is to never walk away from the Word without it changing me. I want to be a reflection of Christ for others to see more of Him. As I desire to know Jesus I must draw near to Him and in the book Ruth I see instructions given to Ruth by Naomi that shows me how I can have intimacy with my Redeemer.

“Wash therefore and anoint yourself, and put on your cloak and go down to the threshing floor, but do not make yourself known to the man until he has finished eating and drinking. But when he lies down, observe the place where he lies. Then go and uncover his feet and lie down, and he will tell you what to do.” And she replied, “All that you say I will do.”

‭‭Ruth‬ ‭3:3-5‬ ‭ESV‬‬

5 things to being intimate with God?

•Be cleansed (1 Cori 7:1, James 4:8)

•Be fragrantly set apart (1 John2:27)

•Be clothed with the best (Isaiah 61:1-3,10)

•Be committed (Ruth 3:4)

•Be faithfully obedient (Eph 1:3)

All of these things are preparing my heart for a closer relationship with Christ to be a reflection of Him. Let us prepare ourselves like Ruth to meet the Redeemer of our souls today.

Have a wonderful week and share what you are creating this weekend?
